Gardaí are today renewing the investigation into the murder of Ms Raonaid Murray and are appealing for any information that may help.
Ms Murray was 17 when she was stabbed to death in what was called a "frenzied attack" on September 4th, 1999, as she took a shortcut to her Glenageary home.

She was returning from a Dun Laoghaire pub, where she had gone after finishing work at a local shop, when she was killed.
The Garda have interviewed 8,500 people to date and have taken 3,000 statements. But despite this and a £150,000 reward that has been pledged, the Garda have said they are still unable to catch the killer.
In a statement today the family of Ms Murray have called on the Garda to "continue and redouble their efforts to catch this killer".
The family also appealed to the public to help the gardaí solve the crime and to go to them with any information relating to Ms Murray’s death.
The Murray family also addressed the person responsible for the killing: "To the murderer we say, every day of your life will be haunted by the unspeakable horror of the crime you have committed. Come out from wherever you are hiding and give yourself up. You will never be able to hide away from what you have done".
The Garda want to speak to anyone who may have information relating to the following:
- Where Raonaid was from about 11.20 p.m. when she left Scott's pub, Dun Laoghaire, to 12.30 a.m. when her body was found.
- Anyone who may have seen her as she made her way between Scott's pub and Silchester Crescent.
- Anyone who may have given Raonaid a lift or walked with her between Scott's pub and Silchester Crescent.
- Anyone who may have seen her struggle or heard voices or anything else suspicious at Silchester Road/Crescent at about 12.10 a.m. on September 4th 1999.
