Gardai have launched a murder investigation after the death early this morning of a 20-year-old man from Crusheen in Co Clare.
Mr Alan O’Donnell died from injuries he received after an alleged assault in an Ennis nightclub on Sunday night.
Gardai yesterday arrested a local 27 year-old man in relation to the incident.
The man was released without charge last night and a file is being sent to the DPP.
