Gardai in Dublin have launched a murder investigation this evening following the discovery of a body of a 25-year-old Jamaican woman in an apartment in Phibsboro.
The woman was found at a flat near the Royal Canal Bank at around at 2.15 p.m.
The body was removed to the Mater Hospital where a post mortem is to be carried out.
The scene is being preserved for technical examination.
