Alan Gaffney's Munster will tackle the Scottish Borders in a friendly match at Thomond Park next Wednesday evening.
Gaffney's side have not had a match since their Heineken Cup heroics against Gloucester in January and the Australian is keen to give his charges a work-out against competitive opposition as preparations for next month's quarter-final in Leicester begin in earnest.
Players involved in Ireland's senior and under-21 Six Nations campaign will not be considered for selection for the friendly.
However, A internationals, who have no match as Wales chose not to field an A side this season, are likely to be involved.
