The mother of a Cork teenager who went missing earlier this month has issued an appeal to her son to come home for Christmas.

Joseph Butler, 15, of Lotabeg Lawn, Mayfield, in Cork city has not been seen since December 6th last.

In the hours prior to his disappearance he was wearing black trousers and a jumper emblazoned with a picture of Jesus Christ. He also had a green Parka jacket and a grey hat with earflaps. s we can work it out."

Joseph is described as 5ft 6" of thin build and shoulder length hair which he sometimes tied back in ponytail or dreadlocks. He has a pale complexion and light coloured eyes.

Meanwhile, gardai in Cork are continuing to appeal for information on a 42 year old taxi driver who has not been seen December 17th.

Tim O'Connell of Clarke's Road, Ballyphehane, Cork, was last seen leaving his house in the city at about 2.30 a.m. on Tuesday last.

The missing man is 5ft 3" with a stocky build, brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance he was wearing a dark tracksuit and runners.

Mr O'Connell left the house in his wine Toyota Carina car registration number 95 C 462. Anyone with information on the men should contact gardai in Togher, Cork, on 021 4 962611.
