Legal challenges: Six, at a cost of just under €400,000 so far. Costs were awarded to this tribunal in four of the cases, but no money has been recovered yet.
Outcome so far: Of 46 Garda members criticised by the tribunal in the first five reports, five have been dismissed, 21 have retired, two have resigned, two have been transferred, three were disciplined and in 13 cases, no action was taken.
Fact: €9.09 million was incurred by the State in representing the Garda Commissioner and the Minister for Justice before this tribunal.
