A Moroccan court sentenced to death a paedophile for raping and killing nine teenage boys over a period of three years, state news agency MAP said today.
The man (44), identified only as Abdelaali H., had confessed to burying his victims, some in plastic bags, in waste ground near his shack in the southern city of Taroudant.
A court in the southern port of Agadir issued the sentence on Thursday night.
More than 150 people are on death row in Morocco, although capital punishment in the Muslim kingdom has only been put into practice once in the last 20 years.
