A south Dublin man has admitted offering money to another man to kill his wife

A south Dublin man has admitted offering money to another man to kill his wife. Judge Elizabeth Dunne, at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, adjourned sentence until December 18th so that the accused man could receive certain medical treatment.

John Creighton (50), of Kiltipper Road, Tallaght, pleaded guilty to one count of soliciting in March 1998 to have his wife murdered. The offer of money for the murder of Mrs Gloria Creighton had been made to a Mr Gerard Kelly at a place in O'Connell Street, Dublin, the court heard.

Judge Dunne remanded Creighton on continuing bail until December 18th.
