John B. Keane's comedy Moll will have a one-night-only Broadway performance in November, with the proceeds in aid of Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Following a 13-week sell-out run at the Gaiety, the New York performance, along with another in Boston, is nearly sold out.

Speaking at the Gaiety yesterday, Mr Peter Webster, chairman of Beaumont Hospital, said he hoped the play would achieve great success in New York.

"John B. Keane has had huge successes in New York already, so I don't doubt that this performance of Moll will be different," he said. "I am delighted that the hospital's first US fundraiser can benefit from this."

Organised by the Beaumont Foundation, which raises funds for the Dublin hospital, this will be the first US performance of Keane's comedy.
