TRAFFIC restrictions due to the EU summit caused difficulties for some commuters in Dublin yesterday while others reported the unusual delight of tail back free journeys.
Roads around the heart of the city were sealed off and many streets leading to Dublin Castle will closed to traffic until 10 p.m. today.
Closed to traffic until 10 p.m. tonight: Dame Street between South Great George's Street and Cork Hill; Lord Edward Street; Christchurch Place; Werburgh Street; Ship Street; Stephen Street Upper; Parliament Street; and Fishamble Street.
Parking prohibited until 10 p.m. tonight: Parliament Street, Lord Edward Street, Exchange Street Upper and Lower, Essex Street West, Fishamble street, Christchurch Place, Bride Road, Ross Road, Stephen Street Upper and Chancery Lane.
Parking restricted from 6 a.m,. until 8 p.m tonight: Lower Mount Street, Merrion Square North & West, Merrion Street Upper, Ely Place, Hume Street, St Stephen's Green, Cuffe Street, Redmond Hill, Aungier Street, Chatham Street, Chatham Row, South King Street, Mercer Street Upper & Lower, Lower Grafton Street, Nassau Street, South Leinster Street, Aston's Quay, Wellington Quay,) Clare Street, Kildare Street, Merrion Row, James's Place and James's Street East.

From 6 a.m. today until 10 p.m tonight Forrest Road will be closed to all traffic between the roundabout at the Coachman's Inn on the Swords Road to the roundabout on the Naul Road at Forrest Great behind Dublin Airport.
Parking is prohibited from Tolka Bridge to Drumcondra Road between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. tonight.
