The Minister for Enterprise and Employment will contest a case in which Eason and Son seeks to prevent him from enforcing an order fixing maximum prices for British magazines, the High Court was told yesterday.

Last week in the High Court, Eason was granted an interim injunction preventing the Minister from enforcing the order fixing maximum prices for the magazines. It was due to come into force on July 16th.

Yesterday, Mr John Gordon SC, for Eason, said he understood the Minister wished to consider the position and wanted an adjournment for a week.

Mr Gordon asked for the interim injunction to continue in the meantime. Mr Charles Meehan, counsel for the Minister, said the Minister would contest the matter.
