BELGRADE - Opposition supporters and students prepared yesterday for a 60th day of anti government protests despite warnings from the influential wife of President Slobodan Milosevic that the two month stand off over election results could turn into a bloody civil war.
As students and opposition leaders planned afternoon rallies in central Belgrade, Ms Mirjana Markovic warned that the protests were sowing discord among the Serb people, and that an internecine struggle could ensue.
