Mexico City - Last week's discovery of bodies buried on ranches close to the Mexico-US border has also revealed Mexican state complicity in the multi-billion dollar drug trade, Michael McCaughan reports.

Mexico's Attorney General's office, working with the US Drugs Enforcement Administration, reported that the Juarez cartel has a national organisation run by 400 regional leaders, divided into cells and assisted by 45 Mexican army troops, among them six generals.
