METHODIST Church leaders at the synod of the Portadown district of the church have expressed deep concern at what they describe as "the serious consequences of the violence that has taken place in the North since Drumcree".

The synod expresses regret at the loss of life as well as the damage to commercial life and to the prospect of future inward investment in the North.
