Shots were fired at a north Belfast house last night by gunmen travelling in a car. No one was injured. The gun attack was carried out by three men at Alliance Avenue at about 10.30.
The car was later found burned out at Ballysillan in north Belfast. The RUC held a number of people in a follow-up operation.
In a separate incident eight petrol bombs were thrown in attacks on homes in the Protestant Fountain area of Derry.
A house was scorch damaged after being hit by two of the bombs. One person was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
