British coffee and sandwich chain Pret-A-Manger said today US fast-food giant McDonald's has bought a 33 per cent take in the firm.
The deal will support the international expansion of the Pret-A-Manger brand, the company said in a statement.
"McDonald's has invested in us because they like what they see and what they eat," Pret-A-Manger's co-founder Mr Julian Metcalfe said at the announcement of the deal.
