'McCarthy's Bar' author Pete McCarthy dies

The  award-winning author Pete McCarthy has died.

Author of the bestselling McCarthy's Bar and The Road To McCarthy, Mr McCarthy passed away on Wednesday after a short illness.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
