LONDON - The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Kenneth Clarke, and the Conservative party chairman, Dr Brian Mawhinney, issued a joint statement last night rejecting claims that the Chancellor, warned Mr Mawhinney to "tell your kids to get their scooters off my lawn".
