An Apprentice Boys' church parade has been banned from passing through the nationalist village of Dunloy in Co Antrim. Organisers have been told by the Northern Ireland Parades Commission they must keep Sunday's march away from the village centre because of fears of trouble.
The route to the Presbyterian Church service has been restricted to roads on the outskirts of the village.
Orangemen and Apprentice Boys have been involved in several confrontations in the past with residents in Dunloy, but the Commission said it hoped Sunday's planned march could be the start of a process to restore the parading tradition in the village.
