The Northern Secretary has said he has no information to indicate the Provisional IRA provided material to be used in a murder attempt on an RUC officer.
Mr Mandelson was responding to an article in yesterday's Daily Telegraph which said security officials received "first-hand evidence" of collaboration between the IRA and other republican paramilitaries.
The report centred on a failed booby-trap attack on a senior RUC officer in Co Fermanagh last November.
