Managing company fined for failing to hold a.g.m.

A company set up to manage a new housing estate was fined yesterday for failing to hold an annual general meeting.

Broadmeadow Management Co Ltd and director, Mr Paul Gallagher, were each fined £500 under the Companies Act 1963.

The prosecution by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, followed inquiries from one of the residents in the development about what had been done with £13,000 provided for management of the new estate, The Old Mill, Fairyhouse Road, 8D Ratoath, Co. Meath.

The Minister initiated a prosecution against the company secretary, solicitor Mr Michael Fitzsimons and director Mr Paul Gallagher, with registered offices at Upper Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin, for failing to hold an a.g.m. under Section 131 (3) of the 1963 Companies Act.
