Limerick's county manager said yesterday he had been asked to investigate a complaint that four officials were carrying out "nixers" in conflict with their duties. The request came from the Department of the Environment and Local Government.
The manager, Mr Robaird O Ceallaigh, told a county council meeting: "To the best of my knowledge I would be surprised if there was anything in the complaint, which came by way of an anonymous letter". It was stated that the complaint did not refer to anybody in the planning section.
