A Leitrim man will face trial later this year on charges of sexually abusing his three children. The 36 year old man pleaded guilty to three of the charges at the Central Criminal Court in February but was allowed to withdraw those pleas yesterday.
The move came after prosecution counsel Mr George Birmingham said he had been instructed by the Director of Public Prosecutions not to oppose the application. Mr Justice Flood granted the application by Mr Brendan Grehan, defending, to withdraw the pleas and fixed a trial date for later in the year.
