Manchester United have been paired with Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of Champions League while Celtic will meet Boavista in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup after both draws were made in Nyon today.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men will be away to the Spanish giants - nine-times winners of the competition - in the first leg of the double header, on April 8th-9th with the return taking place at Old Trafford on April 22nd-23rd

There was a strong feeling at Old Trafford that United would face Real, European champions in three of the last five years and the current holders, who booked their place in the last eight on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia.

The remainder of the draw saw Inter Milan get Valencia at home for the first leg while Ajax will host AC Milan and another mouth-watering prospect will see Juventus take on Barcelona.
