Police in Co Down are appealing for information after a man in his 80s was tied up during a burglary at his home outside Banbridge.
Two men, one of them carrying a knife, entered the house on the Aughnacloy Road shortly before 9pm last night, a PSNI spokesman said.
They pushed the man to the ground and tied him up before making off with a sum of cash. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police believe the two men were in their 40s. They have appealed for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, or on the Castlevennon Road, to contact them.
