A man has been shot in the leg in Dublin's north inner city.
The man, who is in his 20s, was found by a Garda patrol at around 10.00pm last night.
He was lying on a footpath in West Road in the East Wall area. He had been shot in his lower right leg.
The man, understood to be from the Dublin 3 area, was taken to the Mater Hospital, where his injuries are not said to be life-threatening.
Gardai believe he was a shot with a handgun.
The area was sealed off for a forensic examination by a Garda crime scene team.
