A Belfast man appeared in court today charged with a firebomb attack on a shop in the city.
Anthony Craig (22) made no comment when charged with planting the incendiary device at a toy shop in the city earlier this month.
Smyth's toy store in Shane Retail Park on the Boucher Road was targeted on November 1st as the political parties prepared to meet with Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer in London to discuss a financial aid package.
Mr Craig, from Clandeboye Drive in the Short Strand area of the city appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court after being questioned by police over the weekend.
He denies plotting an explosion which could endanger life or cause damage to property.
Sergeant Gary Chambers said he could connect the accused with the charge. He was remanded in custody to reappear in Belfast via video link on December 18th.
