A man arrested in connection with the murder of a businessman at his Northern Ireland home last year has been released.
Geoff Kerr (60) was shot dead during a struggle with intruders in Templepatrick, Co Antrim, in April.
Mr Kerr, who was also a member of the Ulster Unionist Party, was shot in the chest in the hallway of his home by two gunmen posing as takeaway food delivery staff.
Mr Kerr’s wife, Sally, and the youngest of his four sons, were present at the scene of the murder.
This morning a police spokesman said a 59-year-old man arrested in the Templepatrick area yesterday morning has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Two men have already appeared in court charged with the murder of the Ballymena-born financial adviser.
