A 45 year old Ranelagh man charged with handling over £200,000 worth of stolen paintings, including portraits of Sir John and Lady Lavery, was further remanded until September 9th by the Dublin District Court yesterday.
Mr James O'Brien, of Park Drive, Ranelagh, is charged with handling the two Lavery portraits plus 14 works by British artist Sydney Goodwin worth £14,000 within the State between 1993 and this year.
