Gardaí are appealing for information after two people died following overnight road crashes in Co Wexford and Co Mayo.
A 19-year-old man was killed after the car in which he was travelling hit a wall and entered the water in Courtown Harbour at about 10.30pm yesterday.
Two other occupants of the car swam to shore, but the man was taken from the water by emergency services and pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to Waterford Regional Hospital for a post mortem, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí in Gorey are seeking witnesses to the incident.
In a separate crash, a 21-year-old man died when the car in which they were travelling hit a grass verge at Clooneshil near Newport, Co Mayo, at about 3.15am.
The man was taken to Mayo General Hospital, along with a woman who was also injured in the car. The man was later pronounced dead.
