A man in his 30s has been arrested following the robbery of a post office in Dublin today.
The man entered the post office on the Upper Rathmines Road at about 1.30pm wearing a cap and sunglasses and armed with what appeared to be a firearm.
He threatened staff before making his leaving with a sum of money.
He then got into a taxi at a rank across the road and threatened the driver.

Gardaí responding to the call observed the taxi and stopped it at Leicester Avenue a short time later where the man was arrested and money recovered
He is currently being detained at Rathmines Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
No one was injured in the incident.
