A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a serious assault on Grafton Street last May.
The man was arrested late last night and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in Pearse St Garda station.
The victim, a man in his mid 20s, received serious head injuries requiring some 41 stitches during the attack at 3am on Sunday, May 29th.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital but subsequently released.
The attacker is described as being a white male, early to mid 20s, tall and well-built and was wearing casual dress with a white T-shirt under a jacket.
He came from the St Stephen's Green area down Grafton Street with another man and a woman, and the three continued to walk in the direction of College Green after the assault.
The woman is described as being of slim build, with dark hair, wearing a short black shirt and carrying a handbag in her right hand. The second man is black, tall and well-built and was casually dressed wearing a black jacket.
