A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a businessman in Northern Ireland in 1996.

A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a businessman in Northern Ireland in 1996.

The 45-year-old suspect was detained in north Belfast today in connection with the death of Simon Tang, who was attacked and robbed outside his takeaway business in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

Five people - three men and two women - have been charged with offences linked to the murder of the 28-year-old in the past few months.

Mr Tang, a 28-year-old married father of two, was beaten and robbed outside his business in June 1996. His watch and the night’s takings were stolen. He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
