A Dublin man pleaded guilty at the Special Criminal Court yesterday to the unlawful possession of a firearm in the city seven years ago. Richard Tobin (49), of Crumlin, pleaded guilty to the unlawful possession of a semi-automatic rifle, with intent to endanger life at Upper Clanbrassil Street, on July 22nd, 1994.

Tobin pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to the firearms charge and to a charge of murdering Mr John Bolger (31), of Tallaght, on the same date. But when he was re-arraigned yesterday, on the firearms charge, he changed his plea to guilty.
