A man who sexually assaulted a young woman during drunken celebrations after Ireland's World Cup victory over Italy in 1994 has been given a four year suspended sentence.
Mr Justice Geoghegan warned Declan Timmons (19) that if he committed any offence in the next four years he would serve this sentence.
Timmons, of St John's Court, Clondalkin, Dublin, pleaded guilty in March 1996 to the offence which took place on the night of June 18th, 1994.
