A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was found unconscious on a Dublin street early this morning.
The man in his 30s was found lying near the junction of Harcourt Street and Harcourt Road at about 3 a.m. He was taken to St James's Hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.
A spokeswoman for the hospital said the man "remains critical" but could not confirm if he had regained consciousness or not.
Gardai at Harcourt Terrace Garda station are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.

"They would particularly like to speak to a number of people who were present when the ambulance arrived," a Garda spokesman said.
