A man (25) is due before Dún Laoghaire District Court this morning in connection with a post office robbery in Co Wicklow earlier this week.
He has been charged over an attempted armed robbery at Arklow post office on Tuesday afternoon.
According to gardaí, a man entered the post office at about 2.10pm on the day with what is believed to have been a firearm but left the premises empty-handed.
The man charged in connection with the robbery was arrested close to Ashford, Co Wicklow that same evening.
