Gardaí in Co Wicklow are investigating a house fire in which a man died last night.
The fire occurred at a property on Ballybeg Road, Rathnew. A Garda spokesman said the emergency services were made aware of the fire at about 8pm.
The victim was in his 60s. His remains were removed to Loughlinstown Hospital in Dublin.
Gardaí are attempting to establish the cause of the fire and will continue to examine the scene today and have asked anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
