A man arrested by gardai investigating the Omagh bombing was detained for a further 24 hours last night. The man, in his 20s, is being held at Monaghan Garda station under the Offences Against the State Act. He was arrested on Thursday morning.
His period of detention was extended at a special sitting of Ardee District Court, at 9.30 p.m. last night.
