A man in his mid-20s who set himself alight at a north Dublin shopping centre remains in a critical condition in hospital today with 90 per cent burns.
The man doused himself in white spirit yesterday afternoon after kneeling, blessing himself and kissing the floor. He then set himself alight.
Shocked shoppers looked on as the man began running through Artane Castle shopping centre pursued by security staff.
He was cornered after a short time and fire extinguishers were used to put out the flames.
