A man appeared at Antrim Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with the murder of Mr Leslie Davidson (18) in the town on Sunday. Mr Rodney Alan Bishop (20), of Nutts Corner, Crumlin, replied "No" when charged with the murder of Mr Davidson near the Antrim Cineplex on Stiles Way.
In a statement Mr Bishop said he had no intention of killing Mr Davidson and did not have a knife at the time of the incident. He was remanded in custody to appear at Antrim Magistrates' Court on October 21st.
Three other men were also charged last night with Mr Davidson's murder. The men - aged 33, 20 and 17 - will appear in court today, police said.
