A Dublin man was charged in the District Court on Saturday with seven counts of robbing elderly people over a three-week period.
Mr Anthony Connors (25), of Tulip Court, Darndale, was charged with seven counts of robbery in the Mountjoy, Fitzgibbon Street and Bridewell areas of Dublin on dates between August 23rd and September 6th last.
The hearing, before Judge Windle, was told by Det Garda Mike Smyth that Mr Connors was arrested at Gardiner Street last Thursday.
Det Garda Smyth said that all the alleged robberies involved entry to houses with sole occupants aged over 50. One house allegedly entered was occupied by a 100-yearold woman.

Mr Connors was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on September 14th.
