A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Co Armagh this morning.
Police received a report of a man having been stabbed during an altercation in the Thomas Street area of Bessbrook at around 4.30am.
A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital in Belfast with life threatening injuries.
Detectives in Newry have charged a 34-year-old man with attempted murder and possession of an article with a blade or point in a public place.

He is due to appear at Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
