A man was charged with attempted murder and riotous behaviour today after a piece of masonry was dropped on the head of a policewoman during unrest in Belfast last month.
The officer was fortunate to escape serious injury in the attack in Ardoyne on July 12th.
Police came under fire from missiles and explosives during some of the worst violence for years after an Orange Order parade.
More than 80 police were injured during three nights of unrest in the republican neighbourhood.
The accused (28) will appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court tomorrow. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) released a photograph of the suspect on Friday.
