A 29-year-old man is due before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday after being charged with several offences in connection with a hit-and-run in Belfast on Thursday night in which two schoolboys were seriously hurt.
The condition of the boys, age 12 and 10, is said to be improving at the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children.
The 12-year-old suffered serious head injuries in the incident and but was moved from intensive care yesterday.
The man, who arrested earlier today, has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury, theft of a vehicle and a number of related motoring offences.
Police believe the car involved in hte incident had been stolen in Newtownabbey last month and fitted with false number plates.
The boys were riding their bikes outside Central Station on Bridge Street in Belfast when they were struck by a car on Thursday evening.
