A Sligo man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a middle aged woman has been remanded on bail to July 24th by the Central Criminal Court. The 40 year old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted committing the offence in Sligo on October 25th, 1994.
Mr Peter Charleton SC, prosecuting, said there was no Garda objection to bail, providing the defendant abided by a condition not to approach or speak to the victim.
Mr Justice Carney requested the preparation of assessment reports on both the defendant and the victim.
