A 32-year-old man charged with the murder of a man in Drogheda was today remanded in custody.
Mr David O'Brien, of Mill Court, Mill Lane, Drogheda, appeared before Judge William Earley at Cloverhill District Court in Dublin.
He was arrested last week in connection with the murder of 38-year-old Martin Murray, of Ballsgrove, Drogheda.
The body of Mr Murray was found on a flight of steps beside apartments in the town on August 10th. He had suffered stab wounds.

The judge remanded O'Brien in custody to return to court at 10.30 a.m. on September 15th.
Solicitor Mr Patrick Brannigan, representing Mr O'Brien, has requested that his client receive a psychiatric assessment while in Cloverhill Prison.
