A man in his 30s died after a fight broke involving a numner of people broke out in Co Tipperary overnight.
The man, who is a foreign national, was set upon at a home in the Coach Yard, Nenagh at around 2 am.
His body remains at the scene. A Garda spokesman said detectives were following a definite line of inquiry.
A second man injured in the attack is being treated for stab wounds which are not thought life-threatening.
