A 23-year-old man has died after a crash in Bandon, Co Cork this morning.
The single-car accident took place at 7.45 a.m. at Castlebernard, Bandon.
The man's body has been removed to Cork University Hospital. He has not yet been named.
Seven people have died on the State's roads so far this month. In June 37 people died in fatal crashes, an increase of three on the same period in 2002. So far this year, 181 people have died on the State's roads.

Meanwhile, in the North one person died when a car left the road, hit a wall and caught fire near Warrenpoint. The crash happened on the A2 road between Newry and Warrenpoint. No other vehicles were involved.
