A man (18) has died after he lost control of the van he was driving in Co Cavan yesterday afternoon.
The van overturned on the Kingscourt road outside Shercock at about 5pm. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to Cavan General hospital.
A male passenger (17) was also transferred to hospital with injuries described as not life threatening.
The Kingscourt road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
